The Wollaston Ballet School was founded in Deal by Mrs Prudence Wollaston in 1996 and is now run by Danielle who trained at the school since 1997.
Our classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi with all classes being taken by Danni and Vicki who are both registered RAD teachers. Pupils are welcome from 3 years onwards and all students are offered to take examinations and/or assessments with the RAD. We hold our RAD examination sessions three times a year.
We offer graded classes from Pre-Primary - Grade 8 and vocational classes from Intermediate Foundation. We pride ourselves on our ability to teach and educate our pupils in this disciplined, formal art in a safe and fun environment .
Prudence Wollaston trained at Elmhurst Ballet School, and had a professional career. She founded her first Royal Academy of Dance ballet school in Staffordshire in 1970 and taught in Singapore and Hong Kong before founding the school in Deal in 1996. She was awarded the President's Award by the Royal Academy of Dance for her dedicated service to the Academy in 2005. Mrs Wollaston retired in 2019:
